AFRIWORKS ZAMBIA LIMITED — EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Afriworks Zambia Limited is looking to employ a suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated individual to fill the position of Safety Officer. Position: Safety Officer Company: Afriworks Zambia Limited Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Environmental Management, or related field from a reputable institution. Recognized safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is an added advantage. Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in construction or industrial occupational health and safety. Thorough knowledge of Zambian occupational safety legislation, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Ability to work under minimum supervision. Strong leadership, inspection, and incident investigation skills. Able to begin work immediately. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce workplace Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures on site. Conduct daily site safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. Ensure strict compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safe working practices. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Prepare periodic safety reports and maintain safety registers and documentation.
