MIKANGO Secondary School in Chongwe District has received 100 desks procured through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to help address the shortage of desks at the school.

Chongwe Municipal Council Assistant Public Relations Manager, Cecilia Musonda says the provision of the desks will help create a more conducive learning environment for pupils.

Ms Musonda noted that adequate desks are important in ensuring that learners are able to attend lessons comfortably and concentrate on their studies.

She explained that the intervention will also contribute to improved access to quality education and enhance the overall learning experience for learners at Mikango Secondary School.

“The 100 desks are part of the 3000 desks procured by Chongwe Municipal Council with support from the Constituency Development Fund for distribution to schools in the district,” Ms Musonda said.
