CHIPATA Central Member of Parliament George Mwanza says his focus is to accelerate infrastructure development, job creation and economic empowerment in the constituency through strategic partnerships and government support.

Mr Mwanza said there is need to prioritise the completion and improvement of market infrastructure, including Saturday, Kaumbwe, Magazine and Chisitu Markets.

He disclosed that Magazine Market, in particular, requires improved infrastructure and ZESCO electricity connectivity to enhance trading activities.

Mr Mwanza stated that he will also continue working with President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND government to secure additional funding for the completion of township roads and the expansion of the road network in the Chipata Central Business District.

Mr Mwanza noted that the Presidential Grow Zambia Agenda should be localised so that communities in Chipata Central can directly benefit from the national development agenda.
