JOB OPPORTUNITY — CHAMBISHI, COPPERBELT PROVINCE ⛑️ Position: Safety Officer (x1) Applications are invited from qualified, energetic, and dedicated individuals for the position of Safety Officer (x1) based in Chambishi, Copperbelt Province, Zambia. Key Responsibilities: Implement, monitor, and enforce workplace Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) policies and procedures. Conduct daily site safety inspections, risk assessments, and identify potential hazards in operational areas. Lead daily safety toolbox talks and conduct safety inductions for site personnel and contractors. Investigate site incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed incident reports with root-cause analysis and preventive recommendations. Ensure all employees and equipment operators strictly adhere to PPE standards and safe work practices. Maintain statutory safety records, compliance audits, and liaise with site management on safety improvements. Requirements: Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHSE) or related environmental/engineering discipline (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHEUM, or recognized institution). Demonstrated practical experience as a Safety Officer on mining, construction, or heavy industrial projects. Thorough knowledge of Zambian occupational safety legislation, mining regulations, and hazard identification methods. Strong observational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to write clear, analytical safety reports and incident documentation.
