Position: Intern – Credit & Quality Assurance Department
Role: Quality Controller 1 (QC1)
Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Designated Supervisor, the Quality Controller (Intern) under the Credit and Quality Assurance department will be responsible for Quality Control 1 (QC1) – Validation checks of loan application documentation received from the Front Office stage.



Key Outputs & Responsibilities:

Validation and authentication of customer loan application documentation provided by Front Office staff.
Conduct thorough checks for completeness, correctness, and validity of submitted loan application documentation.
Ensure timely and quality-assured submission of validated loan application files to the next stage of the loan approval workflow.
Provide prompt communication of relevant corrective action recommendations regarding invalidated loan application documentation.
Ensure all relevant departmental and operational reports are consolidated, accurate, and circulated on a timely basis.
Perform sensitivity analysis when required to provide valuable input from a credit risk standpoint.
Promptly escalate suspicious or fraudulent activity and actual frauds in strict compliance with Bayport’s Fraud Prevention Procedures.




Education & Qualifications:

Full Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) O-Levels including Mathematics and English.
Must be a Degree Holder (preferably in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, any business-related field, or Social Sciences) as required for this entry-level position.
