WE ARE HIRING — GENERAL FITTERS Company: Apex Packaging Zambia Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Remuneration: An attractive remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates Application Deadline: 31st October 2026 A reputable manufacturing company based in Lusaka, Zambia, is seeking experienced and competent General Fitters (Mechanical Fitters) to handle maintenance, assembly, and repairs across manufacturing machinery. Key Responsibilities: Carry out routine servicing, inspection, overhauls, and repairs on corrugators, printing presses, slitters, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyor systems. Diagnose mechanical faults, align shafts, replace bearings, seals, belts, chains, and hydraulic/pneumatic valves. Assemble, install, and align new mechanical machinery and equipment components. Participate actively in preventive maintenance schedules to minimize factory downtime. Comply with lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and safety policies during maintenance works. Requirements & Qualifications: Craft Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Fitting, Industrial Maintenance, or related trade (TEVETA-accredited). Minimum of three (3) years of relevant mechanical fitting work experience in an industrial or manufacturing plant. Past experience in the corrugated carton industry will be an added advantage. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and hydraulic systems. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during shift schedules.
