EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI): ELECTRICAL CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES 1. Background A reputable developer is constructing a modern four-storey hotel in Ndola, Zambia. The project aims to deliver high-quality accommodation and business facilities. We are seeking proposals from qualified and registered engineering firms to provide comprehensive electrical design, review, and site coordination services. 2. Scope of Work Design Development: Develop complete, detailed electrical engineering designs and blueprints for the four-storey hotel. Review & Update: Review, validate, and update any existing preliminary electrical concepts, architectural plans, and system requirements. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly comply with ZESCO regulations, National Fire Protection standards, and Zambian engineering codes. Site Coordination: Coordinate on-site electrical installations with the main contractor and mechanical/plumbing teams. Supervision: Oversee quality control, material approvals, testing, and final commissioning of all electrical infrastructure. 3. Required Qualifications Registered engineering firm with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ). Valid corporate practicing license from the Engineers Registration Board (ERB). Documented experience designing and managing multi-storey commercial or hospitality projects. Key project staff must hold individual valid EIZ/ERB practicing licenses. 4. Submission Requirements Interested firms must submit: Company Profile: Detailing firm structure, registration, and qualifications of key technical personnel. Compliance Documents: Valid EIZ firm registration and ERB corporate practicing license. Track Record: Evidence of similar multi-storey or hospitality design projects completed in the last 5 years. Technical Proposal: A brief methodology outlining the firm’s approach to the design and coordination phases. 5.
