ZAMBIA MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES AGENCY (ZAMMSA) — EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES 📊💊 Grade: ZMS 02 | Position: Director – Supply Planning (x01) The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian Nationals to fill the position of Director – Supply Planning (x01). Reports to: Director General Main Job Purpose: To coordinate the forecasting, quantification and supply planning of medicines and medical supplies in order to meet the mandate of the Agency and ensure their timely availability across Zambia’s public health sector. Main Responsibilities: Forecasting & Quantification: Coordinate development of accurate national demand forecasts and supply plans based on epidemiological data, historical consumption, and public health trends. Supply Chain Optimisation: Optimise supply chain pipelines, reduce lead times, and leverage data analytics to align supply plans with real-time health facility consumption. Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong strategic relationships with manufacturers and international suppliers to ensure uninterrupted delivery of quality medicines. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, cooperating partners, and health facilities to incorporate national health priorities into procurement plans. Strategic Leadership: Direct the Supply Planning division, formulate operational budgets, oversee PMS targets, and lead high-performing technical teams. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Full Grade 12 School Certificate. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, Commerce, Pharmacy, or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years’ work experience, 4 of which must be at senior management level.
