Nkana Football Club says it respects the ruling issued by the Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- Disciplinary Committee dated 30th October 2026.

The ruling follows a complaint lodged by the Zambian Premier League -ZPL- concerning the chanting of political slogans by a section of supporters during the MTN Super League fixture against Makeni All Stars FC at Nkana Stadium on 10th October 2026.

In a statement issued by Media and Communications Manager Mike Mubanga, the club says it was asked to show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken and subsequently submitted its response expressing regret and outlining measures to prevent recurrence.

In its ruling, the Disciplinary Committee found the club guilty and imposed a fine of K100,000 alongside a sanction requiring the club to play its next five home matches at a neutral venue situated at least 300 kilometres from Nkana Stadium without spectators.

The Committee however, having considered the club’s remorse and remedial measures, ordered the partial suspension of the implementation of the five-match sanction to provide the club an opportunity to demonstrate improved conduct for the remainder of the season.

Nkana FC says it is committed to complying with the directives and will continue engaging relevant football authorities to ensure similar incidents do not recur.

The club notes the ruling has significant financial, logistical and sporting implications and would deprive the Kalampa faithful of the opportunity to support their team at home.

The club has therefore appealed to supporters to exercise restraint, respect football rules and refrain from chants or conduct that could expose the club to further disciplinary action.
