Munir Zulu counsels WHY ME after his release from prison

Former Lumezi Member of Parliament and former convict Munir Zulu has penned an emotional advice to popular TikToker Francis Kapwepwe alias “Why Me” who was released from prison today after serving his jail sentence.

Kapwepwe was on May 27, 2026 sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labour for hate after a prolonged detention without bail as he attended his trial.

On the other hand, Zulu was released in March this year after serving a 12-month sentence after being convicted of criminal libel and seditious practices.

In his advice, Zulu advised “Why Me,” to focus on reconstructing himself after prison.

“My advice to the young man, Kapwepwe, is very simple, the world outside is quite cruel and nasty. Avoid the temptation to use a mobile phone for anything that could put you in harm’s way with anyone.”

“No one will tell you what is good or bad and some people will celebrate you now only to forget about you when you get into trouble.”

“Focus on reconstructing yourself after your discharge from prison, because life must move on. Please, do not fall for anyone’s trap. I wish you well,” Zulu penned.
