CHRISTA PIKE IS “ANGRY AND CONFUSED” AFTER WAKING FROM FAILED EXECUTION

We’re now getting a clearer picture of Christa Gail Pike’s state of mind after she regained consciousness following Tennessee’s failed attempt to execute her.

And her attorney used two striking words to describe her:

“Angry and confused.”

Pike remains hospitalized after the September 30 execution attempt.

She has regained consciousness, is off the ventilator and is able to communicate, although her attorneys have indicated that her communication remains limited.

Earlier, her legal team revealed that Pike knows her name and remembers some things about being in the hospital, but reportedly does NOT remember the execution attempt itself.

Her attorneys have also described significant injuries to her arms, including burns and blistering, while questions remain about the full extent of her recovery.

Medical experts have cautioned that it could take time to understand what lasting effects she may have suffered.

Meanwhile, a judge has ordered evidence from the failed execution preserved as Pike’s attorneys investigate exactly what happened inside the execution chamber.

Her lawyers are seeking records, video, execution materials, IV-related evidence, drug information and other evidence they believe could help reconstruct what happened.

And the legal battle may be far from finished.

Pike’s attorney told the court that Tennessee has not promised it will never attempt to execute her again.

For now, Pike is alive.

She is awake.

And according to her attorney, she is angry and confused.
