WE ARE HIRING — WELDERS Company: Apex Packaging Zambia Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Remuneration: An attractive remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates Application Deadline: 31st October 2026 A reputable manufacturing company based in Lusaka, Zambia, is seeking skilled and precision-oriented Welders to join our maintenance and fabrication engineering team. Key Responsibilities: Perform arc, MIG, and TIG welding for plant equipment repairs, structural fabrications, frames, conveyors, and metal modifications. Interpret mechanical fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld specifications accurately. Cut, shape, bend, and fit metal components using grinders, plasma cutters, and torches. Assist the maintenance department with plant preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs. Maintain welding tools, PPE, gas cylinders, and ensure a fire-safe working environment at all times. Requirements & Qualifications: Craft Certificate or Trade Test in Metal Fabrication / Welding from a recognized technical institution (TEVETA-accredited). Minimum of two (2) years of practical welding and metal fabrication work experience in a manufacturing plant. Past experience in the corrugated carton industry will be an added advantage. High precision, strong safety awareness, and ability to troubleshoot mechanical wear-and-tear.
