INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL OF ZAMBIA — WE ARE HIRING! 🏥🥗 Position: Nutritionist (1 Position) Organisation: International Hospital of Zambia Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Closing Date: Friday, 23rd October 2026 The International Hospital of Zambia is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, skilled, and qualified individual for the position of Nutritionist (1) to join its clinical care multidisciplinary team. Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or Dietetics, or a closely related qualification from a recognised university/institution. Valid professional registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) and a current practising certificate. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a hospital or clinical healthcare environment; previous experience in a private hospital or multidisciplinary healthcare setting will be an added advantage. Demonstrated experience in clinical nutritional assessment, therapeutic diet planning, and patient nutritional counselling, including the management of diabetes, hypertension, renal diseases, obesity, and other acute and chronic medical conditions. Sound knowledge of human and clinical nutrition, diet therapy, nutritional screening tools, anthropometric assessment, and dietary evaluation, with the ability to interpret relevant clinical information and laboratory findings. Knowledge of hospital food service systems, therapeutic menu planning, and food safety standards; experience coordinating patient meal services or working with catering departments will be an added advantage. Training in food safety, infection prevention and control (IPC), or hospital food service management will be an added advantage. Familiarity with relevant Zambian healthcare regulations and professional standards, and the demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
