MAGAYA MINING (PVT) LTD — WE ARE HIRING! ⛏️ Transforming Artisanal Mining in Zimbabwe Position: Mechanical Engineer Location: Zimbabwe Employment Type: Full-Time Application Deadline: 29th September 2026 / Open Role Overview: The Mechanical Engineer oversees the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimal performance of mechanical systems, mills, crushers, pumps, and mobile plant, ensuring reliable and safe operations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of all plant mechanical equipment (crushers, ball mills, conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic/hydraulic circuits). Diagnose mechanical failures, develop root cause analyses, and implement corrective engineering solutions. Plan and execute planned maintenance shutdowns and routine mechanical servicing schedules. Ensure mechanical works adhere to occupational health, safety, and statutory environmental guidelines. Manage mechanical documentation, maintenance logs, and spare part requirements. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry. Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, project management, and mining safety standards.
