Elevate Your Career. | Position: Investment Officer – Treasury (Grade: NPS 04) The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Investment Officer – Treasury (NPS 04). Job Purpose: The Investment Officer – Treasury is responsible for managing NAPSA’s investment liquidity and treasury activities, implementing the decisions of the Board’s Finance and Investment Committee, placing funds in a timely manner to maximize returns, and ensuring optimal asset-liability management in line with approved investment guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Execute and monitor investment placements across money markets, government securities (Treasury Bills and Bonds), fixed deposits, and capital markets. Monitor creditworthiness, counterparty credit ratings, and financial indicators to safeguard the Authority’s assets and optimize yields. Conduct continuous research and monitoring of macroeconomic indicators, interest rates, currency movements, and domestic/international financial markets. Prepare comprehensive investment documentation, deal tickets, and compliance schedules for review by the Manager Treasury. Appraise high-yielding financial instruments and structured debt placements to expand the investment portfolio. Monitor cash flows, liquidity requirements, and Internal Rates of Return (IRR) to ensure strategic fund allocation. Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) “O” Levels, including credit or better in Mathematics and English. Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related business discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or CA Zambia are preferred. Minimum of Four (4) years of relevant experience in treasury operations, money market dealing, or investment asset management.
