Elevate Your Career. | Position: Internal Auditor (Grade: NPS 04) The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Internal Auditor (NPS 04). Job Purpose: The Internal Auditor is responsible for performing NAPSA’s full internal audit cycle, analyzing operational and financial systems, evaluating risk management and internal control mechanisms, preparing audit reports, and monitoring management’s implementation of internal audit recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Analyze NAPSA’s financial documentation, management accounts, and operational records to identify audit issues and risk exceptions. Conduct post-audits of payments made to suppliers of goods and services, capital project contractors, and consultants. Audit compliance with statutory obligations (including NAPSA contributions, ZRA taxes, and pension disbursements). Review audited bank reconciliations, payroll records, staff recruitments, separations, and legal contract agreements. Identify control loopholes and recommend pragmatic interventions to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate fraud risks. Prepare well-documented audit files, working papers, and comprehensive audit reports for presentation to Management and the Audit Committee. Provide audit counseling, advisory, and decision-support services across various directorates within the Authority. Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) “O” Levels, including credit or better in Mathematics and English. Full professional accounting/auditing qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia, or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor). Active registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and/or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Minimum of Four (4) years of internal audit experience at a middle management level in a reputable institution.
