CHOPPIES – JOB VACANCY Job Title: Butchery Assistant Location: Kaoma, Zambia Closing Date: 22 October 2026 Responsibilities To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service. Assist in cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Serve customers, weigh and package meat, and provide advice on preparation and cooking. Make sure work areas are kept clean at all times. Sharpen and clean knives and operate cutting machinery. Display produce in windows or cabinets. Maintain cleanliness in the work area, assist with customer service, and ensure proper labelling and display of meat cuts in the store. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Butchery production certification. 1–2 years of experience in butchery production. Basic knowledge of butchery and food preparation. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights. Candidates should be medically fit. Skills, Abilities and Requirements Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stay calm and focused. Interpersonal skills. Supervisory skills, including the ability to train employees to use time efficiently and maintain high standards of service delivery. Additional Requirements Physical Examination Required: Medical Report and Police Clearance.
