Position: Science Teacher (Biology & Chemistry)

Maamba Energy Limited is inviting applications from dynamic, suitably qualified, and experienced individuals to fill the vacant position of Science Teacher (Biology & Chemistry) at Maamba Private School.



Key Responsibilities:

Effective preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching records in order to facilitate structured delivery of science curricula.
Mobilization and timely provision of teaching/learning materials, laboratory apparatus, and practical specimens in order to enhance knowledge imparting.
Effectively carry out the teaching of secondary school science lessons specializing in Biology and Chemistry.
Undertake timely preparation and maintenance of teaching records to evaluate continuous syllabus coverage.
Undertake effective invigilation, assessment administration, and marking in order to accurately monitor and evaluate pupil academic performance.
Effectively supervise pupils in classrooms and science laboratories to maintain a safe, disciplined, and productive learning environment.
Participate actively in school extracurricular activities and departmental meetings.




Requirements & Qualifications:

Full Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) O-Level Credits or better (including English and Mathematics).
Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Education (with a major/subject combination in Biology and Chemistry) from a recognized university.
Valid professional registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) with a current Practicing Certificate.
Familiar with the 2023 Zambia Education Curriculum Framework.
Must be fully computer literate (MS Office, e-learning tools).
A minimum of three (3) years’ proven teaching experience as a teacher of science.
