We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated Accountant to join our team and help establish strong financial systems that will support the successful growth and smooth operation of the company. Position: Accountant Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Setting up and maintaining the company’s accounting systems and financial records. Preparing all financial statements, reports, and statutory documents. Managing daily bookkeeping activities and ensuring accurate record keeping. Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable. Preparing and managing company budgets and cash flow forecasts. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements. Preparing and filing all necessary financial and regulatory reports. Managing payroll and other employee-related financial records. Monitoring loan portfolios and maintaining accurate lending records. Conducting bank reconciliations and managing company finances. Developing and implementing internal financial controls and procedures. Coordinating audits and preparing all required documentation. Providing financial advice and recommendations to management. Performing all accounting duties necessary to ensure the smooth running and financial stability of the company. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, CPA, or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant accounting experience. Experience in a lending, banking, microfinance, or financial services institution will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
