Zambia Premier League (ZPL) has partnered with ZIT in a five-year agreement to introduce ZPL Smart Football, a digital platform that will improve club administration, player development and fan engagement.

Zambia Premier League Head of Communications, Christina Zulu says the initiative is part of the league’s efforts to professionalise and commercialise football through technology and innovation.

Zulu said the platform will provide clubs with digital tools for player profiling, squad management, match preparation, performance analysis and financial management.

She said ZPL Smart Football will also strengthen relationships between clubs and supporters through digital memberships, fantasy football competitions, player statistics and interactive match day experiences.

Zulu added that the platform’s sponsorship portal will create opportunities for businesses to reach football audiences through digital advertising.

She said the partnership is expected to contribute to the development of a more connected, data-driven and commercially sustainable football ecosystem in Zambia.
