ZELENSKY RESUMES STRIKES ON RUSSIAN OIL REFINERIES

The energy ceasefire is over. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has officially announced the resumption of strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, ending a brief three day pause.

Zelensky’s words: “The block is out. We’re done.”

What happened: Ukraine paused strikes to comply with a US announced energy ceasefire, Russia continued pounding Ukrainian energy facilities in retaliation, leaving 600,000 people without power.

Strike launched: Ukrainian drones and missiles hit the Ryazan oil refinery in Russia, one of the country’s largest, accounting for nearly 5 percent of total refining capacity.

US pressure: Washington reportedly threatened to cut intelligence sharing and Starlink access to force Ukraine to stand down.

The ceasefire lasted three days.
