The Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) has commended members of the public and other stakeholders for the high levels of compliance with their qualifications verification process.
In an interview with ZANIS TV, ZAQA Corporate Communications Specialist, Inutu Mwanza, says the authority’s mandate is being adopted, as they continue to receive applications from people seeking to pursue higher education and employment opportunities.
“Many people are complying, as we all know, it’s mandatory for you to verify your qualifications,” she said.
Mrs Mwanza stated that the authority is collaborating with higher learning institutions to enforce a system integration that will enable the availing of learner records to the authority to avoid delays in verification.
“Legally we are the custodian of all qualifications in the country,” she said.
Mrs Mwanza noted that the system has significantly improved learner record availability by digitizing the verification process.
She further encouraged all those who have not yet verified their qualifications with the authority to do so, stating that once verified, their certificates will have no expiry.
