Dr Mwanakampwe says the FSP programme has continued transforming the lives through distribution of agricultural inputs to vulnerable but viable farmers across the province.
He was speaking when a delegation from the Ministry of Community Development and Social Service paid a courtesy call on him in Kabwe.
He said the programme, which is implemented by the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, has done wonders in all the districts but particularly in Chitambo, Mkushi and Chisamba.
Dr Mwanakampwe says the department of community development in some districts has used part of the recoveries from the beneficiaries to build offices and skills development centres, which are impacting local communities.
He has urged the World Food Programme (WFP) and other cooperating partners to continue supporting the programme for the benefit of the vulnerable in society.
And Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, Chief Community Development Officer, Martin Mwansa, says the government remains committed to implementing social protection programmes to alleviate poverty at community level.
