Suspected Russian Agents Accused of Intruding Into Finnish MPs’ Homes
Russian intelligence operatives are suspected of being behind a series of mysterious break-ins targeting the homes of at least 20 Finnish lawmakers, according to reports.
Over recent months, several Finnish parliamentarians have reportedly discovered that unknown individuals entered their homes while they were away. In the reported incidents, nothing was stolen or significantly damaged, but objects were moved and lights were deliberately left switched on, allegedly to make the occupants aware that someone had been inside.
According to The Telegraph, one Finnish lawmaker reportedly returned home to find human feces deliberately left in the toilet, in what appeared to be an act of intimidation.
Russian intelligence services are reportedly suspected of involvement, with the incidents being investigated as a possible form of hybrid warfare and psychological intimidation against Finnish politicians.
