The Solwezi High Court will on Thursday, November 5, 2026, rule on whether a case involving 2026 NRPUP presidential candidate BRIAN MUNDUBILE and his running mate, MAKEBI ZULU, should be heard in Solwezi or Lusaka
.
The two are facing two counts of alleged seditious practices.
State Advocate CHALI HAMBAYI says the State is expected to file its submissions today, while the defence is expected to respond on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Defence Advocate CHIFUMU BANDA says he is satisfied with the manner in which the proceedings have been conducted so far.
Mr. BANDA says the court’s decision to allow both parties to make submissions on the question of jurisdiction provides an opportunity for their arguments to be fully considered before a ruling is delivered.
The ruling is expected to determine whether the case will proceed before the Magistrate Court in Solwezi or be heard in Lusaka.
