LUSANGAZI Central Member of Parliament Douglas Lungu has urged residents to form clubs and cooperatives to improve their chances of accessing grants and loans under the 2027 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) empowerment programmes.

In an interview with the newsroom, Dr Lungu said organised groups would enable more residents to participate in government empowerment programmes and benefit from financial resources aimed at improving livelihoods.

Dr Lungu stated that government is committed to providing citizens with resources to establish and expand income-generating activities, create employment and improve household incomes.

He, however, cautioned prospective beneficiaries against misusing CDF grants, urging them to use the funds strictly for the purposes stated in their applications.

Dr Lungu also advised beneficiaries of CDF loans to ensure that the funds were invested in the approved projects and repaid according to the agreed terms.
