G6’s Revelation On How US$5 Million For Gwanda Solar Project Was Spent By Wicknell Chivayo Sparks Outrage

A revelation by Wicknell Chivayo’s younger brother, Joachim ‘G6’, about what happened after money was received for the Gwanda Solar Project has triggered a strong reaction on social media.

Speaking during Chivayo’s funeral service, G6 claimed that he had contributed US$220,000 towards finalising documentation for the project after selling vehicles from his car sales business to support the venture.

He said Wicknell had promised to give him US$1 million after receiving a US$5 million payout from ZESA.

G6 Details What Happened After Payment
According to G6, the situation took an unexpected turn after the project deal was concluded.

He claimed that Chivayo travelled to Dubai, where he spent about US$90,000 on shoes before travelling onwards to the United States.

G6 said he subsequently struggled to reach his brother, claiming that Chivayo did not answer his calls for about two weeks.

“He wasn’t answering my calls until after two weeks, when he got back,” G6 said.

BMW X6 Offered Instead
G6 said when he finally confronted Wicknell, he was told the money was finished and he could only be compensated with a car worth US$400,000.

You know. The fact that G6 is telling this like it’s some cute, heartwarming anecdote and not real-life actual proof of what an unethical thief Wicknell was. Wow. He spent that money overseas on SHOES and what happened to the Gwanda Solar Project? Nothing to date. 🚮 Ubuntu.
