PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has nominated Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Felix Mutati and former Education Minister Douglas Syakalima as Members of Parliament.

The two were among the nominated MPs sworn in today by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Nelly Mutti, in line with Article 92(2)(d) and the provisions for Presidential nominations under the Constitution of Zambia.

Mr. Mutati, who served as Minister of Technology and Science in the previous administration, returns to Parliament as a nominated member, while Mr. Syakalima, the long-serving former MP for Chirundu, also bounces back to the House through nomination.

Their nomination comes a day after President Hichilema wrote to Parliament seeking approval to realign Government Ministries to enhance efficiency and fully support the Grow Zambia Agenda.
