EMMANUEL MWAMBA SAYS JJ BANDA USED WITCHCRAFT TO EVADE JUSTICE

Toonse Pamodzi Alliance Chairperson for Media and Publicity Emmanuel Mwamba has claimed that his colleague, former Petauke Central Member of Parliament Emmanuel Jay Jay Banda, was using witchcraft.

Mr. Mwamba says that at the time of his arrest, Mr. Banda was made to strip naked and remove amulets worn around his waist in full view of his neighbours.

He has condemned the alleged public stripping, saying authorities should have handled the matter privately to avoid humiliating Mr. Banda.

“It is very unfortunate that the authorities stripped him and removed the amulets around his waist in full view of his neighbours. They should have taken him inside and removed them without humiliating him the way they did,” he said.

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that a carcass and a dead python were found in the room where Mr. Banda was allegedly hiding.

Mr. Mwamba has also dismissed claims that former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s daughter, Tasila Lungu, was found with Mr. Banda during the operation.

He says those spreading the claims are misleading the public, insisting that Ms. Lungu was in South Africa at the time.

“Also, let me put it on record that Tasila Lungu was nowhere near Jay Jay Banda. She is currently in South Africa. So, those saying she was found with him are lying,” he said.
