Chilanga Acting District Commissioner, Maureen Chilende, has encouraged Heads of Government Departments to work as a team in driving the Grow Zambia Agenda in the district.

Ms Chilende notes that every Government Department at district level plays a critical role in the realisation of the Grow Zambia Agenda through their various mandates.

She has indicated that the agenda cannot be achieved by one department working in isolation, but requires concerted efforts and collaboration among all stakeholders.

Ms Chilende said this during the Independence Day Preparatory meeting today at the District Administration Office.

She explained that Departments such as Agriculture, Education, Health, Community Development and Local Government have specific contributions that feed into the broader national development agenda.

Ms Chilende urged Heads of Departments to align their departmental and individual work plans with aspirations that reflect the Grow Zambia Agenda.

“We need to work together as a team and collaborate as we execute our departmental and individual work plans in order to contribute to the Grow Zambia Agenda as a district,” said Ms Chilende.

Ms Chilende added that with teamwork and commitment, Chilanga District will effectively contribute to the national vision of transforming Zambia into a prosperous and resilient economy.
