Position: Trailer Mechanics (2 Positions) | Fuel Transport & Fleet Engineering Oasis Energies is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and safety-conscious individuals to join our technical fleet maintenance team as Trailer Mechanics (2 Positions). Key Responsibilities: Perform regular routine servicing, maintenance, and structural repairs on heavy-duty commercial trailers and fuel tankers. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults on air brake systems, ABS, suspension, axles, wheel hubs, landing gear, and kingpins. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip technical safety inspections to ensure complete roadworthiness and compliance with transport regulations. Inspect and repair pneumatic valves, air hoses, couplings, and electrical lighting on articulated trailers. Perform basic fabrication, welding, and fitting tasks required for trailer maintenance and tank chassis stability. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection sheets, and report recurring mechanical issues to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor. Ensure the workshop area and all service equipment adhere strictly to occupational health, safety, and environmental standards. Minimum Requirements: Craft Certificate or Technician Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Repair (HER), or Automotive Mechanics from a recognised institution. Relevant practical experience in commercial trailer, tanker, or heavy articulated vehicle maintenance and repairs. Strong technical diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Sound understanding of pneumatic air brake systems, mechanical suspensions, and fleet safety guidelines. Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a busy fleet environment.
