JOB OPPORTUNITY Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe Underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola. Lubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum. LCML places the highest priority on safety with a world-class safety system in place and understands its obligations to carry out mining in a sustainable manner. LCML seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual in the following position: SECTIONAL SURVEYOR (X1) This position reports to the Senior Surveyor. Core Purpose of the Position To check the execution of all surveys and develop the tactics necessary to complete organizational objectives in as far as Survey is concerned. Key Performance Areas/Indicators (KPAIs): Collaborate closely with all technical services sections and other departments to meet their surveying requirements efficiently. Ensure accurate daily updates and plot survey data, including profiles, laser alignments and wall stations through consolidation of field data into Deswik and Amine software. Monitor development and production survey activities, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards. Undertake survey works for capital projects and engineering applications. Drive adoption of new technologies and innovative survey methods to improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and best surveying practices. Manage surveying assets and resources effectively to support operational requirements. Ensure all mine plans are accurate, up to date and prepared in accordance with professional surveying and draughting standards. Prepare detailed and accurate excavation and trenching permit plans. Maintain and update GIS databases for surface and mine planning applications. Process drone survey data and generate maps using GIS or equivalent software. Perform other related duties assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
