We are still hiring for the position of MECHANIC TECHNICIAN – HEAVY EQUIPMENT & TRUCKS Join our professional team and use your skills to keep our heavy equipment and trucks running safely, efficiently and reliably. LOCATION: Copperbelt Province, Chambishi QUALIFICATIONS Grade 12 Certificate (minimum requirement). Trade Test / Craft Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics / Automotive Engineering. Additional training in diesel engine systems, ideally Cummins engine training, is desirable. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Technician on heavy-duty equipment and trucks. Hands-on experience with Cummins engines. Experience working on XCMG equipment, Sinotruk / Sino truck, and other similar brands is highly desirable. Experience in industrial, construction, mining or logistics fleet maintenance. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and repair skills for diesel engines and heavy-duty systems. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good time-management and organizational skills. Understanding of safety standards and PPE use. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Self-motivated and results oriented. High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with positive attitude. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and equipment. Committed to quality workmanship and safety. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Willingness to work rotating shifts (day/night) and stand-by duties as per the Employment Code Act. Must be of good character, with no criminal record.
