On behalf of an esteemed client operating in the mining and heavy equipment sector

Level Field Consulting, on behalf of one of our esteemed clients operating in the mining and heavy equipment sector, is seeking a qualified, proactive, and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee heavy equipment maintenance in Lumwana, North-Western Province.

Position: Maintenance Manager (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities for mining and heavy earthmoving equipment.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes.
Lead, mentor, and supervise mechanics, auto-electricians, and maintenance personnel.
Monitor equipment performance, fleet availability, reliability, and maintenance costs.
Diagnose recurring equipment problems and implement effective corrective measures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and prepare comprehensive management reports.
Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and manufacturer maintenance specifications.
Coordinate with clients and site management regarding equipment maintenance schedules and service requirements.


Qualifications & Experience:

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance, with supervisory or managerial experience.
Strong background in mining equipment and heavy machinery maintenance.
Experience working with major mining companies such as Barrick, First Quantum (FQM), or similar mining operations is highly desirable.
Experience with CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu or similar equipment will be an added advantage.
Strong leadership, planning, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and willingness to work at mining sites.
