REPUBLIC OF ZAMBIA — MANYINGA TOWN COUNCIL EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL JOB ADVERT Manyinga Town Council wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Machine Operator (03 Vacancies) – (Compactor, Water Bowser, etc.) on a contractual basis. Position: Machine Operator (03 Positions) – (Compactor, Water Bowser, etc.) Salary Scale: LGSS/14 Organisation: Manyinga Town Council Location: Manyinga, North-Western Province, Zambia Employment Type: Contractual Basis Key Duties & Responsibilities: Operating heavy municipal equipment and earth-moving machinery (including Compactor, Water Bowser, Roller, Grader, and related plant machinery). Executing road maintenance, earthworks, civil engineering projects, and township infrastructure development tasks. Conducting daily operational pre-checks (inspecting fluid levels, hydraulic systems, tyre pressure, tracks, and safety apparatus). Performing basic routine machine maintenance, greasing, and promptly reporting mechanical defects or repair requirements. Operating machines with high precision, safety consciousness, and efficiency to prevent accidents or equipment damage. Maintaining accurate machinery log sheets indicating operating hours, fuel consumed, and work accomplished. Qualifications and Requirements: Must have a full Grade 12 Certificate. Must be 21 years and above but below 45 years of age. Must be a holder of a green National Registration Card (N.R.C.). Must hold a valid operator’s license class C or better. Must be of sober (mind) character and dependable work ethic. Mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage.
