EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL JOB ADVERT

Manyinga Town Council wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified, energetic, and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Driver (02 Vacancies) on a contractual basis.

Position: Driver (02 Positions)
Salary Scale: LGSS/14
Organisation: Manyinga Town Council
Location: Manyinga, North-Western Province, Zambia
Employment Type: Contractual Basis

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Safely operating Council utility and official vehicles in carrying out municipal assignments and civic duties.
Transporting Council personnel, civic leaders, materials, and equipment punctually and securely to designated destinations.
Conducting regular pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (checking oil levels, coolant, tyres, brakes, and lights).
Maintaining accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, fuel receipts, and trip authorisations.
Ensuring the cleanliness, general serviceability, and routine maintenance of assigned Council vehicles.
Complying strictly with road traffic regulations, safety standards, and local authority vehicle policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Must have a full Grade 12 Certificate.
Must be 21 years and above but below 45 years of age.
Must be a holder of a green National Registration Card (N.R.C.).
Must have a valid Class CE driver’s license.
Must be of sober (mind) character and high integrity.
Mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage.
