SPECTRUM CREDIT LTD — WE ARE HIRING! 📢⚖️ Position: Legal Officer (Litigation • Debt Recovery • Legal Advisory) Position: Legal Officer Company: Spectrum Credit Ltd Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Application Deadline: 3rd November 2026 Position Overview: The successful candidate will provide legal support across the business, manage litigation and recovery matters, support contract drafting and review, and provide legal advisory services to ensure the company’s interests are protected and its operations remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage litigation and represent the company in court across Zambia. Support loan recovery, including the enforcement of judgments and realized security. Provide sound legal opinions and advice to executive management and operational business units. Liaise effectively with external lawyers, courts, and law enforcement agencies. Ensure full compliance with Zambian laws, court procedures, and professional legal standards. Handle debt recovery, commercial disputes, and enforcement proceedings. Draft, review, and advise on commercial contracts, credit agreements, legal notices, and court pleadings. Monitor ongoing cases, maintain accurate legal records, and report regularly on litigation outcomes. Identify emerging legal risks and recommend practical mitigation measures. Undertake regular road travel to courts, provincial branches, and clients nationwide. Requirements: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution. Admission to the Zambian Bar (ZIALE Advocate). Current, valid Practising Certificate issued by the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ). Demonstrated litigation experience, particularly in debt recovery and commercial disputes. 3+ years’ post-admission experience (5+ years is an added advantage). Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to all provinces across Zambia. Key Competencies: Legal research, drafting, and rigorous analytical skills. Case and time management; ability to work independently. Negotiation, advocacy, and commercial dispute resolution. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commercial awareness.
