Position: Heavy Duty Truck Mechanics (3 Positions)

Time Trucking Limited and Time Petroleum Limited, leading transportation and petroleum companies in Zambia, are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill 3 vacancies for Heavy Duty Truck Mechanics.



Job Description:
The Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic performs routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and articulated trailers, ensuring all fleet vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and operating at maximum efficiency. Responsible for identifying mechanical issues and providing prompt technical solutions to minimize vehicle breakdowns.



Job Requirements & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of practical experience as a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic.
Traceable professional references, preferably with reputable transport and haulage companies.
Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, pneumatic systems, transmissions, and vehicle running gear.
Demonstrated hands-on experience working with Volvo and Shacman trucks.
Solid technical understanding and overhaul capability with Cummins engines.
Ability to work independently, diagnose complex mechanical and electronic faults, and execute hands-on solutions.
Craft Certificate or Diploma in Heavy Equipment Repair (HER) or Automotive Mechanics is preferred.
