CAMEL OIL (AMSONS GROUP) — WE’RE HIRING! ⛽📊 Position: Financial Accountant | Keep Moving with Camel Oil Camel Oil, a member of the Amsons Group, is looking for a qualified, analytical, and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team at our operations in Lusaka West, Zambia. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional Certification: Full professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia / ZICA, or equivalent) is required. Membership: Active, paid-up membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience (petroleum, manufacturing, mining, or relevant commercial industry preferred). Experience working in a multicultural corporate setting is an added advantage. Software Skills: High proficiency in accounting ERP software (e.g., SAP, Sage, Pastel, or QuickBooks) and advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel. Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, uncompromising ethical standards, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting transactions, financial ledgers, and cash flow operations across retail and wholesale petroleum distribution. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Manage statutory tax filings and ensure 100% compliance with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) regulations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Income Tax). Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer credit control. Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset register updates, and bank reconciliations. Prepare departmental budgets, track variance analysis, and support internal and external audit processes.
