Taste the Difference – Quality Fresh Meat and Butchery Products Position: Blockman (Butcher) Region / Branch: Western Province Company: Lubona Meat Products Ltd Location: Western Province, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Closing Date: 6th November 2026 Role Overview & Key Responsibilities: De-bone, slice, mince, portion, and prepare meat cuts (beef, pork, chicken, sausages, and offals) to company specifications. Set up and maintain clean, appealing display counters with fresh meat products and correct price labelling. Safely operate butchery cutting equipment, bandsaws, knives, and meat mincers. Ensure strict adherence to cold storage regulations and FIFO stock rotation in chillers and freezers. Follow high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety at all times. Assist retail customers with custom cuts, weight requests, and product advice. Qualifications & Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate or proven butchery apprenticeship/training. Demonstrable experience working as a Blockman or Butcher in a commercial butchery or supermarket. Knowledge of meat cuts, carcass yield, equipment care, and food hygiene standards. Hardworking, reliable, and physically fit.
