Taste the Difference – Quality Fresh Meat and Butchery Products Position: Blockman (Butcher) Outlet / Branch: Mwinilunga Outlet Company: Lubona Meat Products Ltd Location: Mwinilunga, North-Western Province, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Closing Date: 6th November 2026 Role Overview & Key Responsibilities: Cut, bone, trim, slice, and portion meat cuts (beef, pork, poultry, sausages, and offals) according to quality specifications. Prepare attractive butchery display counters and ensure correct pricing labels and product packaging. Operate band saws, meat mincers, slicers, and cutting equipment safely and effectively. Maintain cold chain storage standards, stock rotation (FIFO), and proper storage in walk-in chillers and freezers. Ensure the highest level of butchery hygiene, personal sanitization, and food safety standards. Serve customers courteously, advising on cuts, weights, and cooking recommendations. Qualifications & Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate or demonstrable butchery apprenticeship/experience. Proven experience as a Blockman, Butcher, or Butchery Assistant in a butchery or meat retail outlet. Knowledge of meat cuts, carcass breakdown, meat processing machinery, and food safety standards. Physical stamina and dedication to clean, hygienic working practices.
