ZAMBIANS QUESTION ESTHER LUNGU’S SAFETY AS SOUTH AFRICANS PROTEST AGAINST FOREIGNERS.

Zambians have raised concerns about the safety of former First Lady Esther Lungu following protests in South Africa against asylum seekers and foreign nationals.

The protesters are demanding that asylum seekers and other foreign nationals leave South Africa and return to their countries of origin.

According to reports, anti-illegal immigration activist Phakelumthakathi Ndabandaba is leading protesters along West Street in Durban’s Central Business District (CBD).

The demonstrators have also been marching along Smith Street, chanting slogans, including, “The country is ours, why is there even a dispute about that?”

The protests have sparked concern among some Zambians, who are questioning whether the former First Lady and her family are safe amid growing anti-immigration sentiments in South Africa.

Bruce Tembo has called on the Zambian Government to ensure Esther Lungu’s safety, arguing that it is the government’s responsibility to protect the former First Lady.
