he Second High-Level Lobito Corridor Coordination Meeting closed yesterday in Lusaka, with Zambia, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, development partners and private-sector stakeholders focusing on the remaining gaps that must be addressed to make the corridor work more efficiently.

Ministry of Information and Media Director Spokesperson Henry Kapata says discussions were centred on moving from commitments to practical action, including infrastructure, trade facilitation, border processes, investment and the reforms needed to improve the movement of goods along the corridor.

Mr Kapata has told the media business news that the meeting took place at a crucial stage with broad commitments around the corridor already established.

He says the focus now is on the reforms, infrastructure and practical actions needed to make the corridor work efficiently and deliver economic value.
