ZAMBIA National Futsal Team Head Coach Andrea Cristoforetti says the team is physically fit and ready to compete as it departs for Egypt for a pre-Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) training camp.

Cristoforetti says the team had completed weeks of intensive preparations, covering key aspects needed ahead of the continental competition.

He said the team was aware of the challenges posed by its opponents, particularly the experienced North African sides.

Cristoforetti said the planned matches against Egypt, ranked among Africa’s leading futsal teams, would provide a crucial test of Zambia’s readiness.

Cristoforetti noted that qualifying for the AFCON for the second consecutive time, was already a significant achievement, as Zambia is among the eight best futsal teams on the continent.
