Mufulira Wanderers have hit back at former Physical Trainer Davies Nsama and the Mufulira Wanderers Community Pressure Group, declaring they are not paid-up members of the club as they drag the Executive Committee to court.

The nine-time Zambian champions today confirmed receipt of summons requiring the Executive to appear in court on 7th October 2026 over the case filed by Nsama and the pressure group.

But in a strongly-worded statement issued by the Board, Mighty says according to its records, those behind the court action are not legitimate members of the club.

The club says it has forwarded the summons to its sponsors Mopani’s Legal Department for review and will comply with the court process.

Mighty further clarified that the summons does not bar any Executive member or management from taking part in today’s football activities.

“The summons directs the Defendants to appear before the Court on 7th October 2026. As a law-abiding institution, Mufulira Wanderers will honour that obligation,” the statement reads.

The club noted that football governance disputes are ordinarily handled within football regulatory structures but it will respect the court process.

Meanwhile, Wanderers have called on supporters to remain calm and focus on today’s crucial transitional Super Division opener against Green Eagles at home.

“For today, our focus remains firmly on football. Our objective is clear: to fight for the three points,” the Board said.

The club has appealed to the Mighty family to fill the stands and rally behind the team.

“Mufulira Wanderers vs Green Eagles. Three points. One team. One Mighty,” the statement concludes.
