UPND Alliance Chairman, Charles Milupi, has commended President Hakainde Hichilema for providing a clear direction for Zambia’s development for the 2026 – 2031 period.

Mr Milupi says the Presidential address in Parliament last week outlined a national development agenda in the next five years which is aimed at ensuring that economic growth benefits all citizens, regardless of their age or social status.

Mr Milupi, stated that President Hichilema’s emphasis on the Grow Zambia Agenda, demonstrated Government’s commitment to expanding the economy through targeted growth in key sectors.

He noted that the President outlined specific sectoral targets to guide the country’s development, while indicating that more targets would be introduced as the agenda progresses.

Mr Milupi said the broader objective of the agenda is to grow and eventually double the size of the Zambian economy.

He has since called on every citizen to actively participate in national development by identifying ways of contributing to economic growth.
