Muchinga Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Brian Sichande, has urged provincial heads of government departments under head 88 in Muchinga to plan and budget deliberately to support the Grow Zambia Agenda.

Mr Sichande noted that it is imperative for the Heads of Departments to identify practical interventions within their respective mandates that will enable them to contribute to national aspirations of the Grow Zambia production targets.

He further advised them to ensure that they also align the identified targets to National Development Plan and provincial priorities.

Mr Sichande said this when he addressed Heads of Department during the planning and budgeting meeting to prepare for the 2027-2029 medium term budget plan held in Chinsali district.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary disclosed that the Muchinga Province Administration Head 88 has been given an indicative budget ceiling of K124 million for the 2027 budget.

He added that with the constrained fiscal requirements given, the ceiling requires discipline in prioritisation in order to obtain maximum value from every Kwacha allocated.

Mr Sichande further said departmental submissions should prioritise statutory and legal obligations, realistic costing of tasks and operations, and provision for operational costs of key programmes.
