Central Province Police Commanding Officer, Lemekani Chirwa says the suspect fled after he was allegedly caught in the act by his wife in their matrimonial bedroom.
Mr Chirwa said the incident occurred yesterday, November 1, 2026, around 11:00 hours.
Mr Chirwa said the matter was reported at Chisamba Turn-Off Police Post by the victim’s mother, who told police that she had allegedly caught her husband sexually abusing their daughter in their main bedroom.

He said the woman had earlier left home to attend a Church service at the New Apostolic Church near Fringilla Compound, leaving her husband and daughter at home.
Mr Chirwa said the woman returned home around 11:00 hours to collect a piece of chitenge material which she intended to use to carry her breastfeeding baby on her back.
