CHOPPIES ZAMBIA — SILVEREST JOB VACANCIES Choppies Supermarkets is looking for pleasant, honest, and customer-oriented Till Operators to join our front-of-house team at the Silverest branch. Job Role: Till Operator Location: Silverest, Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Responsibilities: To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service. Ensure the drawer contains the correct amount of cash at the beginning and end of the shift after all points of sale are processed. Scan each item a customer wishes to purchase, verify barcodes, and determine the total for combined merchandise plus tax and minus discounts. Accept cash, cheque or card from the customer and furnish the appropriate change and receipts accurately. Balance cash drawers and transfer money to the safe / cash office according to company procedures. Handle customer inquiries and refer complex complaints to management for additional assistance. Greet customers warmly when entering or leaving the store. Pleasantly and professionally interact with customers to ensure total customer satisfaction. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 Certificate). 1 to 2 years of experience as a cashier / till operator. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness and ability to work standing for extended periods. Candidate should be medically fit. Basic computer skills — proficiency with POS systems. Skills, Abilities & Attributes: Basic math skills. Excellent customer service skills. High level of honesty and trustworthiness when handling cash. Age requirement: 18+ in Zambia.
