CHOPPIES ZAMBIA — SILVEREST JOB VACANCIES Choppies Supermarkets is seeking energetic and hardworking Sales Floor Assistants to join our store operations team at the Silverest branch. Job Role: Sales Floor Assistant Location: Silverest, Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Responsibilities: To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service. Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and helping customers locate products. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor at all times. Restock shelves, displays, and replenish inventory as needed. Support store sales goals, specials, and promotional campaigns. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience. Regularly check for and remove expired or damaged items from shelves. Select and place goods on shelves, checking stock levels and ensuring products are neat and properly faced. Replenish stock-outs and practice proper stock handling techniques. Receive and store goods safely in designated stockroom areas. Prepare, prepack and merchandise stock efficiently. Strictly adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation standards. Ensure all damage and expiry procedures are adequately followed. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 Certificate). Food handlers’ certification & food production certification. 1 to 2 years of experience in merchandising products. Basic knowledge in sales floor / shelf packing duties. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights / lift stock. Candidate should be medically fit. Skills, Abilities & Attributes: Ability to perform in a fast-paced retail environment. Must be able to stay calm and focused. Strong interpersonal skills. Supervisory skills – ability to train employees to use time efficiently and to be uncompromising regarding service delivery.
